The Effects of Vitreoretinal Surgery Filled with Heavy Silicone Oil for Treatment of Inferior PVR Retinal Detachment

Abstract


Objective To observe the vitrectomy combined with heavy silicone oil (Densiron-68) intraocular injection of the efficacy of the treatment below the PVR retinal detachment . Of March 2007 to October our hospital 52 cases , 52 now square PVR retinal detachment patients a vitrectomy combined eye filled randomized controlled treatment , 26 cases of vitreous cavity injection weight silicone oil , 26 patients injected silicone oil and heavy silicone oil or silicone oil filled eyes the retina completely reset rate , visual acuity , intraocular pressure , and early complications follow-up observation . Postoperative follow-up time of 7 ~ 12m. Results to the last follow - up , the heavy silicone oil (HSO) filled in 26 eyes of 24 retinal disposable completely reset , reset rate of 92.3 % , the silicone oil (SO) filled in 26 eyes of 18 Yan disposable retina completely reset , accounting for 69.2% ( P lt ; 0.05 ) early postoperative retinal not completely reset mainly as follows: beneath the retina again out of the silicone oil group accounted for 87.5% ( 7 / 1 ) , the group of heavy silicone oil accounted for 12.5% ??( 1 / 7 ) . The vast majority of patients with visual acuity improved to varying degrees . All patients were no significant inflammatory response . The concluding vitreoretinal surgery combined with heavy silicone oil Densiron-68 eyes filling is an effective method of treatment below the PVR retinal detachment , heavy silicone oil Densiron-68 can reduce the recurrence rate of postoperative retinal detachment below .
