Quantum dots are semiconductor nanocrystals physical size smaller than the Bohr excitation radius . Usually by the Section II / VI main family or first III / Ⅴ main group elements . When the size of the material is less than the corresponding Bohr excitation radius (typically 1 to 5 nm ) , will produce the quantum confinement effect , making quantum dots has many unique properties , including: narrow emission ( FWHM usually in the 20 to 30 nm ) ; wide excitation ; quantum yield, high ; molar extinction coefficient large ( than the organic dye high 1 to 2 the number of class ) ; anti - light bleaching and chemical degradation ; continuous absorption from the ultraviolet to the near red (700 ~ 900nm) ; fluorescence long life ( greater than 10ns ) ; Stokes shift . Therefore, the quantum dots with a wide range of applications in biology, materials , energy and other fields . In this thesis, synthesis and modification of quantum dots carried out relevant research , including: (1 ) quantum dot synthesis standardization of quantum dot synthesis , controlled program . The synthetic emission wavelength between 520 nm to 590nm quantum point ; the QDs FWHM small quantum yield is high . Were characterized by transmission electron microscopy , X - ray spectroscopy , fluorescence , UV particle size of quantum dots , element type , emission peak , UV absorption , quantum yield of quantum dot concentration . Has been systematically studied for a variety of factors that affect the synthesis of quantum dots in the course of the experiment . (2) quantum dots were investigated wrapped parcel of the one-pot , two-step method for quantum dot core . Were characterized for the parcel before and after the micro - structure of the quantum dots , the changing nature of spectroscopy . The impact wrapped in a variety of factors , a systematic investigation . (3) polymer ( MePEG - PLA ) modification of quantum dots were characterized wrapped the fluorescent properties of the quantum dots ; stability , particle size also carried out a preliminary study ; estimated by the experimental data encapsulation efficiency . For affect inclusions stability factors are discussed. ( 4) small molecules for the modification of the quantum dots by dithiothreitol (DTT) for modification of the quantum dots . The oil-soluble quantum dots into a water-soluble quantum dot , and further modifications reaction with carbonyl diimidazole (CDI) , conducive to the subsequent coupling .
