Large, complex group project is a complex giant system, larger spatial spans, more participants, more professional, so it brings great challenges to project management. This article mainly expounds on the project management model selection, project organization structure design and project breakdown works of large complex group.This paper begins with large complex project management pattern. First, it introduces the present management modes, it compares the owner involvement to construction activities, designers involvement to project management,work responsibility, the complexity of the project, project construction schedule and the early clear degree of cost. According to the requirement to Project objectives and project management skills of the owner, it analyzes how to choose management mode. In order to address the problems during project execution, it advances the present management mode+Partnering mode.Secondly, the paper introduces the project organization structure planning. First it introduces the characteristics of large project organization, and puts forward the principle of project organization designing, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the project organization patterns.It analyses effect factors and how to choose the project organization structure, and demonstrates the project organization structure through the city rail transit project organization structure.Finally, basing on the concept of WBS, the paper proposes the project breakdown structure of large complex projects. Taking the Shanghai world expo project as an example, it analyzes how to breakdown the project structure. It introduces the functions, principles and methods of WBS, It analyses the effect factors to WBS in details and how to guarantee the quality of WBS.
