Abstract


The Spring and Autumn Annals,which is an incomparable narration about the Historical facts of the Spring and Autumn Era,has gained highlight from scholars for thousands of years.Du Yu who lived in the Xijin Dynasty,considered the Spring and Autumn Annals as important as the Book of Poetry in his books Chun Qiu Jing Zhuan Ji Jie and Interpretation and Chun qiu shi li.The interpretations made by DuYu was added to the Spring and Autumn Annals as an indispensible part when the book Official Explanation on the Five Classics accomplished in Tang Dynasty.We can draw the conclusion that Chun Qiu Shi Li symbolized a peak in studies on Spring and Autumn Annals.The purpose of this thesis is settled so as to unearth characteristics of studies on Spring and Autumn by analyzing Chun Qiu Shi Li by Du Yu.This thesis will be divided in five parts.The first part illustrates the family education and life of Du Yu.With much analysis on family back ground,we get the conclusion that it was inevitable for Du Yu to study on Spring and Autumn Annals.With inspection into various life experience of Du Yu,we find out the reason for he to be a great contributor to the study of Spring and Autumn Annals,who constructed his own theory in explanation of Spring and Autumn Annals.The second part introduces widespread of studies on Spring and Autumn Annals before Du Yu.This thesis defines contributions and theoretical weakness of studies by Du Yu by analyzing studies on Spring and Autumn Annals before Du Yu.In Xijin Dynasty,the studies on Spring and Autumn Annals took a new tendency after arguments during the Han Dynasty.The scholars before Du Yu laid a sound theoretical foundation for him.The third part talks about establish of study system of Spring and Autumn Annals.This part emphasizes on overall construction to point out that Chun Qiu Shi Li functions as a creed besides the textual explanation in the whole system of studies on Spring and Autumn Annals.Chun Qiu Jing Zhuan Ji Jie together with Chun qiu shi li formed the theoretical construction of studies on Spring and Autumn Annals by Du Yu. Du Yu constructed his own theoretical system by seeking regulations from the book Spring and Autumn Annals itself. Part four analyzes is focused on the Chun Qiu Shi Li.This part analyzes chapters such as Name of Places,Family Trees and Spring and Autumn History to draw a conclusion about the value of the book.Du Yu deepens the studies on Spring and Autumn Annals by such themed study,throwing an unprecedented impact on scholars thereafter.The last part analyzes is focused on Chun Qiu Jing Zhuan Ji Jie.The reorganization of texts and the explanations of words in ancient books are critical interpreter in ancient texts.Though critical interpretation of ancient texts which call for the concentration of interpreters and expiators of scholars of ancient texts is not the greatest contribution by Du Yu,as a fundamental job,this thesis will analyze it nevertheless.To draw a conclusion,the greatest contribution by Du Yu is not to work on critical interpretation of ancient text,but to establish the theoretical study system on Spring and Autumn Annals and to bring about studies on various themes,making the studies on Spring and Autumn Annals a complete system,characterizing studies on Spring and Autumn Annals.
