WebGIS is the development direction of GIS , it greatly improves the spatial information maintenance , publish and query efficiency . But the traditional model of WebGIS face many problems, such as a lower response rate and poor service performance . Ajax technology is currently the most efficient client technology , it allows the user operating the server response asynchronized . Use AjaX can shorten the response time of the client and server side , reduce the amount of data transmission networks , thus greatly expand the ability of WebGIS . In this paper, do the following research : (1 ) for spatial query the shortcomings of the state strategy and pure client -side caching insufficient to establish the spatial data server cache for high-performance data access services in a network environment . Enhanced the WebGIS server scalability and system performance , reduce network load , to alleviate the bottleneck of network bandwidth . (2) create map service the Ajax engine quickly and efficiently publish map data . Through multithreaded control display , enhanced the interaction between the map and the user ; Ajax engine to achieve a separation of logic and data , facilitate map service expansion and reusable . (3) study of existing WebGIS platform , summed up its shortcomings , raised fat client using Ajax technology structure . Part transferred to customers Duanyou Ajax engine handles data demand access and user interface part load and update originally implemented by the server-side business logic . To solve the existing the WebGIS platform network traffic , server pressure and unfriendly user interface . Through the above work , build Ajax WebGIS platform . The application proved that this platform has a clear structure and high efficiency . Meanwhile, the implementation techniques mentioned in this article , followed by the development direction of the current development technology , research and application of similar topics with reference .
