Abstract


The disposal of municipal solid waste is one of serious problems in hindering the sustainable development. Now in our country, there are three ways about municipal solid waste disposal:waste landfill, waste incineration and waste composting. With these three, we can reduce the influence of municipal solid waste on the city environment. But due to the different area characters and the different components of municipal solid waste, the effect of dealing with solid waste varies in different areas and brings out some problems on it. Compared with the other two methods, waste incineration has the following advantages:advanced technology, intensive land, effective dealing with waste and fewer demands on waste components and cite condition. Thus, it develops very quickly and it has become the main method in western developed countries, especially those with limited land resources and great popularity. Since 1980s, our country has used industrialized waste incineration, has built up over 40 power generation factories and nearly 100 ones are being built. Because waste incineration meets the following demand of "harmlessness", "reduction" and "making it a useful resource", our government has given great support on power generation program of MSW Incineration and it will be studied and put into practice as a very important issue of circling economy.This thesis introduces the MSW disposal technology and analyzes the development history of waste incineration technology, current situation and its future. From this, we can come to a conclusion:waste incineration technology will become a main way of the MSW disposal and it is the key factor of economic development. Besides, based on the current situation of MSW in Changsha, this thesis gives some analysis and suggestions of MSW collection, transportations, waste landfill, comprehensive use and so on. What’s more, it gives a detailed analysis of the necessity and feasibility on setting up power generation factories in Changsha, the program design and the countermeasures. Based on the large amount of research and demonstration, we make it clearer that power generation program of MSW is the necessity of social economy and environment protection and it has obtained good technologies, great financial aids and government support.
