Abstract


As the development of the market economy, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs ) in China have been aware of the importance of product innovation for the growth of enterprise. However, product innovation goes with high degree risk. New product risk management has become an important research topic in the academic community and the business community. The existing researches, which mostly worked on the project risk management of technological innovation, mainly focus on the risk elements analysis and risk assessment system research, but seldom on the research of the SMEs product innovation project risk management, of witch, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises product innovation project risk identification and estimation methods is less of less. Because of the special characteristics of China’s SMEs, the theory comes from present research doesn’t fit well for the product innovation projects of China’s SMEs. As this result, my viewpoint in this paper is that there is great significance both in theoretical and practical for the healthy development of China’s SMEs to pay more attention to the risk identification and estimation methods of research.First of all, in this paper, I systematically analyzed the characteristics of China’s SME product innovation project, as well as innovative model, based on witch, an imitation of product innovation process has been established. Second, risk identification is the focus of this paper. In this case, the third chapter in this paper discussed the innovation project risks identification from four different aspects, which are the characteristics of SMEs product innovation, pattern, process, and innovation management departments. Also in this chapter, we will discuss a new method to analyze the risk identification of SMEs in the process of product innovation with the table of risk list and the chart of risk flow identification. With this method, we will get a set of suitable product innovation characteristics of the SMEs risk factors. Finally, the study of the product innovation risk estimated for SMEs is established on the basis of risk identification of Chapter III. Researching for risk probability of occurrence, risk impact, risk impact rating and the level of importance of the identified risk factors. In this paper is based on the risk matrix method for SMEs product innovation project risk estimates research. Constructing the risk matrix suitable for China’s SMEs product innovation project.In short, according to China’s SMEs product innovation features, this paper systematically analyzed the risk identification and estimation of the product innovation process. It has a certain reference for the general SMEs product innovation to identify and estimate the risk. At the same time, this paper’s conclusions provide a certain basis for the future research.
