Abstract


Foreign direct investment and international trade is known as the \In recent decades, international capital flows have become increasingly active, direct investment has become the main form of capital flow, and also become the main channel of the developing countries' access to external resources. China since 2002, the actual use of foreign direct investment has been ranked top in the world. Practice has proved that foreign direct investment plays an increasingly important role in the process of economic development in the host country. Research around the impact of foreign direct investment on economic growth, most of the scholars study focused on the national level analysis of the region below the national level is a bit weak. Research perspective deferred to the provincial level, based on the practice of Hunan Province, foreign direct investment and economic growth, based on the analysis of the the system demonstration foreign direct investment on the effects of economic development in Hunan, the establishment of different econometric model, the use of different test methods, from different angles, progressive approach to empirical test the impact of foreign direct investment on economic growth in Hunan and its interactive relationship. The empirical results show that foreign direct investment through capital formation, employment, changes in the industrial structure and foreign trade, and other ways to affect the economic development of Hunan; general time series regression analysis showed that the generation of foreign direct investment on economic growth in Hunan elasticity is 3.11%; grid Ranger causality test to prove the Foreign Direct Investment and Economic Growth in Hunan lag a causal relationship to each other, but 2,3 of a causal relationship is not established; analysis of the results of the error correction model for the current growth of foreign direct investment to GDP growth impact a level of 4.2%, while the lagging impact of a foreign direct investment to GDP is minimal, only 0.5%; impulse response function showed positive economic growth impact of foreign direct investment in response to a positive, forward foreign direct investment economic growth generated by the shock response is positive; the variance decomposition Hunan changes in economic growth in the long-run equilibrium, the contribution of foreign direct investment change significantly greater than foreign direct investment changes changes in the economic growth of Hunan contribution. Measured through a multi-level inspection, proved strong foreign direct investment to promote economic growth in Hunan the Hunan Economic growth has also led to the development of foreign direct investment in Hunan, both mutual promotion, interactive development are inseparable. At this stage, the strong absorption and utilization of foreign direct investment remains Hunan inevitable choice for the development of export-oriented economy.
