Abstract


Food problem is a hot issue, the Governments focus on one of the topics of food security is not only a political issue, the question of national security, social stability, and is an important economic issue, it is in the national strategic security and national economic security, military security, information security as an important position. The seed is an important carrier of food production the most basic, the most important source of agricultural science and technology, is one of the main areas of application of modern biotechnology as the core technology of genetic engineering breeding. The impact of genetically modified seeds to China's food security is a complex problem involving food safety, intellectual property rights, economic and social environment impact, the seed industry and the development of the agricultural biotechnology industry and other issues.
