Abstract

The peeling plate glued wood (Laminated Veneer Lumber, referred LVL) has a lightweight, high strength , stable mechanical properties , high out of wood , flexible specification size and other characteristics , is a high performance , eco-friendly new building composites and widely used buildings, bridges and other engineering fields . This article by LVL direction of the grain compressive , tensile and basic material test to determine the basic mechanical properties of LVL used . The test results show that the LVL than logs , sawn timber in strength , mechanical properties stability significantly improve . Creep is one of the characteristics of wood and wood composites distinguish it from other structural materials most significant , in considering whether a wood composite material suitable for engineering purposes , the creep properties of the material is an important factor . LVL creep properties of the experimental study and numerical simulation , finite element analysis and the LVL member of creep characteristics . Creep testing device developed its own LVL load level under tensile and compressive creep tests accumulation test specimen deformation with time as well as the test load , including first-hand data . Based on the experimental results analysis the LVL creep constitutive model , constitutive equation LVL creep strain and time . LVL creep test the numerical simulation results were analyzed and found good agreement with the experimental results of the numerical simulation , the application of numerical simulation of the the complex creep testing process is feasible . LVL basic components to consider creep finite element analysis can predict the long-term deformation of the components in a given load level . This paper studies predict timber and LVL wood composite material components even complex structure long - term performance by Dutch , provides a theoretical basis and analytical methods , provide a useful reference for the design and engineering application of this type of structure .
