Abstract


With the development of economy and the increase of personal income, people financial needs rise rapidly. Domestic financial institutions have introduced many foreign exchange financing products, and foreign exchange structured deposits have emerged. Since the China Everbright Bank issued the first foreign exchange structured deposits in our country in September 2002, foreign exchange structured deposits have become the "Xiangbobo" of domestic commercial banks and foreign banks. The market has developed rapidly. With the characteristics of the most flexible, the most personal and meeting most kinds of investors, foreign exchange structured deposits are preferred by the holders of foreign currency.The first chapter of the text is the instruction about the study’background and significance of foreign exchange structured deposits and also makes some questions.The second chapter makes a simple overview of foreign exchange structured deposits, including its’definition, classification and the development at home and abroad.Chapter III is on the basis of the second chapter, analyzing the structure and the design process of foreign exchange structured deposits. Foreign exchange structured deposits include two parts: fixed income and derivative products, and the derivative products are meanly options. Its four-step design process: product positioning, product structure, pricing and risk management. This chapter focuses on product positioning and product structure.Chapter IV focuses on the pricing of foreign exchange structured deposits, and on this basis, makes empirical pricing of two groups of foreign exchange structured deposits in China’s current financial market to explore its theoretical value, and makes some meaningful analysis about the results.Chapter V analyses the risk of foreign exchange structured deposits on the view of the bank and the investor and gives some measures for the risk management.Chapter 6 is the last part of this paper, points out the problems of China’s foreign exchange structured deposits in commercial banks, and a targeted manner are proposed.This paper studies foreign exchange structured deposits of China’s commercial banks with a combining method of qualitative and quantitative analysis and achieves a scientific evaluation of foreign exchange structured deposits in current financial markets. Certain deficiencies have been found .This makes an important guiding significance for the development of foreign exchange structured deposits for China’s commercial banks.
