Abstract


EPC is a mature model and is widely used in construction industry in developed countries. But in China, EPC is relatively a new lease of life. Now it is adopted only in a few types of project such as chemical industry and electric power industry.From the point of view of continuance, EPC makes the liability of all participator more unambiguous, so the quality can be more easily ensured; from the point of view of employer, EPC helps him release from the fussy work of project management; from the point of view of general contractor, EPC gives him the chance to earn more profit. Many problems will be faced during the course of pushing EPC. While the improvement of profit and the strengther of contract power, more risks will follow the general contractor.In this disseratation, the writer used systemic thoughtway to analyse the risk, recurring to some engineering practice. In conclusion, the writer brought forward the risk list of EPC, main risk of constractor and risk in every phase. Under the base of deep analysis of EPC model, the writer did research on the risk management of EPC by the RAC model and the expert replying methods. The writer brought out the measures that can slove the risk. The research will help the general contractor detect, comprehend and manage the risks.
