Coating the metal surface to improve the surface properties of metal very effective way , parts can be used to increase wear resistance, corrosion resistance , and improve the strength of the means , therefore , the performance of the coating and the coating material is of great significance . This test method by the observation of the vacuum melting Ni-based alloy - WC composite coating microstructure at different depths , the composition , the phase structure of the coating , the test coating microhardness different depths and coatings different depths of wear resistance. Using scanning electron microscopy and X -ray spectrometer to observe the different depths of the coating structure and measure the coating chemical composition of tissues at different depths . From the test structure, in the nickel -based alloy coating and the substrate has a diffusion layer , the diffusion layer thickness of about 0.2mm, is white \After melting of the coating, increasing the iron content of the coating , the matrix nickel content increases , indicating that the process of melting the coating and the substrate between the diffusion of elements , such that the coating and the substrate forming a strong metallurgical bond . Rockwell hardness measurement of the coating and the coating hardness at different depths , the coating hardness greater than the hardness of the base metal , the coating hardness of the diffusion layer, the lowest layer of the substrate by diffusion than the hardness at the diffusion layer slightly higher than the hardness of the coating diffusion layer and the hardness of the matrix is much higher, and the coating hardness distribution in the thickness direction is uniform, little change in hardness . The coating wear test under dry friction conditions, the wear resistance of the coating outermost best wear resistance of the intermediate layers rather , an insignificant difference , the innermost layer by diffusion layer near the most wear poor. At 68 # machine lubricating conditions, the coatings exhibit excellent abrasion resistance , the load increased by 4 times in the case , the required time is less than the amount of wear measured .
