Abstract


Ortho -nitro toluene sulfonic acid (NTS acid ) is an important chemical raw material and synthetic 4,4 ' - diamino stilbene 2,2' - disulfonic acid (DSD acid ) intermediates , this paper DSD acid production process improvements, the system determined NTS salt solubility in different systems in the hope NTS acid separation and purification , and NTS acid oxidation process to improve the yield and provide basic data . In industry, NTS oxidation in alkaline aqueous solution , we explore the water reported in the literature - an organic solvent as the reaction of a solvent system , the selected material , is as follows : methanol - water, ethanol - water , propanol - water , ethylene alcohol - water , ethylene glycol monomethyl ether - water . This experiment measured the laser synthesis NTS sodium and potassium salts of the mole fraction of 0.2000-1.0000 water - solubility in an organic solvent mixture , using a laser detector to determine the end point of equilibrium . Solubility between the different systems are compared and discussed seeking a general rule guiding significance for the actual production . The results show that the pure solvent and a mixed solvent , NTS solubility of the salt increases with temperature increase . Among them, ethylene glycol monomethyl ether as solvent , the solubility of the maximum , which is often used in the literature report glycol ether as the reaction solvent match. NTS salt electrolyte system belongs , the paper electrolyte ternary phase equilibrium calculation methods are discussed. This regression equation using empirical data in the pure solvent , in each group of objects get better results in both lines , wherein sodium NTS - Mixtures of ethylene glycol monomethyl ether best correlation , mean square error is 0.27 K. In addition , E-NRTL equation associated with the experimental data , the regression model parameters obtained for solid-liquid equilibrium Salt System NTS model parameters related to the industrial production of NTS provide theoretical guidance . Which associated with the E-NRTL equation NTS sodium methanol water system works best , standard deviation of 0.94 K, while the NTS poor adaptability sodium ethanol water system , standard deviation is 3.94 K.
