Abstract


The town is the history of formation and development of geographic entity , is an advanced form of human settlement . With the industrial and commercial development , the status and role of cities and towns in the countries and regions in the national economy are increasing. At the same time , including cities and towns , the urban economy , urban culture has drawn increasing attention . However , the towns of the Loess Plateau region is really weak , to say that this is a pity . Shanxi along the Great Wall in the Ming Dynasty Wei many Fortresses along the pier dotted , Tatung its important military location to become the guardian of the and guarding the capital 's northern gate . Datong Town as one of the \Datong its complex plateau hilly terrain , the military position is very prominent , coupled with the Great Wall as the supporting line , easily defensible the Kennedy Town barriers , have sufficient military functions . These military castle does not exist in isolation and development continue to produce a variety of economic and social ties with the outside world , so , over time , in a military castle keep growth economic factors . Especially to the Qing Dynasty replaced the Ming period conversion , where the original castle military function gradually fade out , and the internal population increasing urban construction , there has been a new development , then it changed to the towns main economic , political activities . In this paper, we consider that this conversion process and why. To illustrate this process and causes , the article examines the setting of the Ming Dynasty in Datong Area Wei Wei surrounding area relationship , especially economic ties , and the Guardian of the conversion to the town historical conditions . Trying to this expedition , not only restored the basic outlook of the region in the Ming and Qing Dynasties Village Change , are also available for the construction of a modern economy , social development learning .
