The ADWR-X weather radar now used, From the situation of present trial using, this radar adopts the combination of contiguous surveillance mode and low-elevation Dopper mode in low elevation. Using this method, it can efficiently cancel the contamination of ground clutter and can resolve the range ambiguity. However, this method requires two PPI sans in the same elevation, so it takes more time. Meanwhile, The disaster weather phenomenas( wind shear, turbulence, etc) often have short survival time. They require to be detected and predicted in time. If batch mode instead of contiguous surveillance mode and low-elevation Doppler mode is used in low elevation, the detecting time will be shorter and we can do a quick predictation in time.The accuracy of low-elevation detected data is more important for the high density flight guarantees. But the ground clutter suppression problem must be resolved in the using of batch mode in low elevation.The existing weather radars have not adopted batch mode to filter ground clutter, this paper studies the IIR ground clutter filter using batch processing mode and applies this filter toADWR-X radar. It shortens the detecting time in low elevation and improves the ground clutter suppression ability. Therefore, it can improve the accuracy of the base data measured by radar. In this study, the performance of five-order ellipse IIR filter is analyzed using X-band ADWR weather radar observations, the procedure of Clutter Map is designed, the signal processing of clutter suppression for low elevation batch mode is introduced. It is showed that the practical appearance of Clutter filtering for batch mode is superior to that for low elevation alert mode and Doppler mode . Finally,a improved Clutter suppression method is illustrated ,which allows for batch mode of X-band ADWR weather radar.Main technical specifications are:1) Ground clutter suppression for low elevation batch mode2) Two cut time are saved every volumne scanf, about 60 seconds3) Attenuation of weather echo is less than 6dB4) The suppression ratio of ground clutter reaches at 30dB above
