Abstract


With the increasing maturity of digital TV technology, the countries in the world are actively promoting the development of digital TV. Digital TV has become a hot topic and to replace analogue TV is just around the corner. Although in this process, the Set-Top Box has an important role, the development of digital integrated TV Receiver is the ultimate inevitable trend.The project is on the basis of the TV solution chip, the BCM3560, belonging to the system of RaisingSun Digital Video Technology (Shanghai) Co.Ltd’s digital integrated TV Receiver which supports ATSC, DVB-C and analogue TV. The chip is a part of this project’s MiddleWare and also is core basic function model.The project research and develop software module about channel search,channel management and EPG, acording to the driver soft interface provided by Broadcom company and the different needs of manufacturers.The software has met product requirements in the actual testing process.This paper firstly introduces some related background and standards: A brief introduction to some basic knowledge and the development of DTV; A brief introduction to the basic software framework and hardware platform BCM3560; a brief introduction to pertaining to the digital television standard, MPEG-2, ATSC, DVB and a simple comparison of ATSC and DVB.This paper introduces my reseach in detail, acording to the fact work. It presents the EPG of ATSC,mainly about how to control the state machine ;search and change channel of DVB-C,including the Auto search, Manual Search, All Frequence Search,Factory setting Digtal program information, and some optimization. It also introduces search and change channel of ATSC, comparing with that of DVB-C. What is more,it tells the channel management, and make the compration between two schemes of store.It mainly introduces the scheme of the channel management , schemes of store and the protection of power failure.Currently the subject of the software program has pass the test in the United States and most of China’s cities,basically reached mature and stable,used by several well-known digital TV manufacturers in China.
