Abstract


As basic industry, power industry has long been under state control and isstate monopolized industry. Due to the policy of“separating operation of powerplants and grid, power generating through bidding”, Qinhuangdao Power Co., Ltd,which acts as a variable load plant in North China Grid and is excluded from theFive major Power Generation Groups is faced with severe survival threat.Because of the difficulties, such as change in policy, closure of small coal pits,integration of large coal companies and environmental protection requirement,the company has fully analyzed its chance and threat, worked out long termdevelopment strategy to keep sustainable growing.Basing on detailed analysis of internal and external conditions, this articlesums up the company’s advantages and disadvantages, conducts SWOT analysis,works out long term development strategy with current manpower, material,financial resources and future development to guide operational activities, whichwill ensure the effective operation of development strategy through implementingtechnology innovation, safe production, financial strategy, organization andhuman resources management and enterprise culture strategy.
