[Objective] To understand the of sodium butyrate sausage rat visceral sensory function ; to explore dietary fiber visceral sensory function . [Methods] 16 Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into control and experimental groups , sodium butyrate dubbed 200ml / L solution and adjust the pH to neutral ( pH 6.9 ) . Experimental rats using a solution of sodium butyrate enemas . The catheter is inserted through the anus to anus 7cm, inject 1 ml of sodium butyrate solution , 2 times a day for 3 consecutive days . Control rats given saline enema , 2 times a day for three consecutive days . Two groups of rats the first enema day 3,6,9,12,15,18 line junction rectal balloon dilatation (colorectal distension, CRD), the rat abdominal wall withdrawal reflex (abdominal with drawl relex , AWR ) to measure visceral sensory function . After the test , the rats were sacrificed to remove the rectum, and the naked eye view ratings and histological inflammatory cell count . [Results ] days 3, 6, 9, 12 , in the the 20,40,60,80 mmHg expansion pressure , the AWR score of the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group ( P lt ; 0.05 ) ; 15, 18 days, in 20,40,60,80 mmHg expansion pressure , the AWR scores of the experimental group and the control group was no significant difference ( P gt ; 0.05 ) The naked eye view and histological changes in rat colonic mucosa in the experimental group and the control group showed no significant difference . [Conclusion] repeatedly enema of sodium butyrate solution can lead to visceral hypersensitivity in the rat and does not cause inflammation in the colon mucosa , it can be a non - inflammatory chronic colonic hypersensitivity model as a new study IBS useful research tool .
