survival. : 2, was a rising trend in recent years. MM patient survival varies greatly, as short as a few months, as many as more than a decade ranging. Different survival in patients with significant differences in prognostic factors affecting MM is more complicated. The last century, 60 to 80 years scholars have found a variety of prognostic factors, such as plasma cell labeling index (PCLI), C-reactive protein (CRP), hemoglobin (Hb), serum calcium, serum creatinine (cr), peripheral blood plasma cells unified views. Objective 1 through the importance of changes in hemoglobin levels, and its relationship with other prognostic factors, to explore the impact of Hb MM prognosis. 2 Evaluation hemoglobin levels changes the value in the clinical stage of multiple myeloma. 3 seek multiple myeloma clinical prognostic factors. Materials and Methods, select Anhui Provincial Hospital from February 2000 to August 2007 to our hospital with complete medical records and follow-up records of 83 patients with MM, patients with newly diagnosed 52 cases, 31 cases of newly diagnosed patients outside the hospital. One by one record relevant clinical and laboratory means that the international staging system (International stagingsystem, ISS) staging staging were classified according to the M protein, grouped according to the degree of anemia. Comparative periods, the survival of patients with each type and each group to analyze and compare the relationship between changes in hemoglobin concentration and other relevant factors. Cumulative survival calculated using the Kaplan-Meier method, Log-Rank test for univariate analysis and comparison of different hemoglobin levels between the survival rate, multivariate analysis using the Cox regression model. Results of MM patients have varying degrees of anemia, Hb level and the total number of bone marrow plasma cells, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), β2 - micro globulin (β2-MG), C-reactive protein (CRP), and other factors showed different degrees of negative associated with albumin was positively correlated with the stage of the disease is closely related; Hb levels were significantly increased, and mild to moderate anemia is a direct impact on the survival of different degree of anemia patients after treatment. Hemoglobin concentration changed little between the different sub-type. Different patients with different hemoglobin concentration dose, patients with mild anemia because of its good tolerability, the dose can be increased, better treatment, the prognosis is better. Conclusion hemoglobin should be used as an important prognostic factor in MM, an integral part of the clinical stage. Changes in hemoglobin concentration can be used to guide clinical medication of patients with multiple myeloma
