Abstract


Conrad (1857-1924) is recognized as one of the beginning of the twentieth century's greatest English novelist. Since Dr. FR Leavis 1948 in the great tradition, \The British writer of Polish descent experienced in 20 years of sailing career, created a number of works on the marine theme, \outstanding representatives. Literary ethics in recent years has been more and more attention to domestic scholars. Social ethics, it tries to objective study of the ethical and moral in literature and give a dialectical interpretation of history. Literary reading and understanding together, aims to reveal the ethical value of literature with social responsibility and moral obligation as a criticism of literature, literary ethics requirements. In many works of Conrad, \In this novel, the story characters being in a unique environment, they are under constant threat from the harsh environment and one's inner evil forces.
