Abstract


Journalistic language is a carrier of reporting the latest-happening events and news information to the people through the media. It is a kind of language phenomenon with its own personality, and is an important component of the social language. Meanwhile it has profound influence on the social language and is closely linked with history and culture. As a language, journalistic language has the feature of the times, especially when it is a carrier of communication.The social life changes and develops continuously. As a kind of method and form of reacting to the social development, journalistic language is the quickest, truest and most direct record of the social development. Journalistic language comes originally from social life and changes and develops with it. Thus inevitably, it should be close to the times in order to reflect social life exactly and truly. As a communication way of mass media, journalistic language has a synchronic feature which is more obvious than any other language. Now,China’s social life has changed a lot in many areas. Journalistic language should be much closer to the public and times. And through reporting the latest-happening event, policies of the party and the government could be transmitted to the people. This kind of news may efficiently transmit the information, and may be easier understood and accepted by the public, and then it could lead the consensus correctly. Otherwise it may influence the propaganda effect if audience could not understand or are unwilling to read the news. So we say that it is quite necessary to emphasize times characteristics of the journalistic language, and make more efficient study on it in order to make the social function of the news media much better.Newspaper is a mass media with longest history, and its language is closest to the traditional and daily language. We can say that newspaper language is the core of journalistic language. Under the wide social environment to analyze journalistic language of newspaper could make the research on journalism and journalistic language much further, and the view vision much wider. It not only broadens the study of linguistic and pragmatics, but also has direct and vital practical value and theory value for the development of journalism.
