Abstract


With the rapid development of science and technology , the increasingly widespread application of image and video technology , image processing technology has become an important technology in the field of modern information processing . The practical application has multiple scaling algorithm to complete the image scaling process , bilinear interpolation algorithm and bicubic linear interpolation algorithm is also more widely , but scaling algorithm , there are many different applications for a dedicated system . This article from the video processing system structure and algorithm research paper details the design of a new structural design for the project , the choice of algorithms , VLSI design and FPGA verification implementation , image scaling , mixing, overlay, frame conversion process . Bilinear interpolation algorithm and bicubic linear interpolation algorithm is discussed in detail , bilinear interpolation algorithm to reduce the complexity of the hardware circuit , save hardware resources , reduce design costs . In the circuit implementation , the use of the pipeline structure of the inverted -type filter to achieve the pixel data of the horizontal and vertical scaling processing , the data processing so that not only can be stably achieved by streamlining the multiplier and the adder , but also can reduce hardware costs , improve circuit processing speed . More regular circuit structure design , as far as possible the module reuse of design ideas , to save the circuit area . In this paper, the top-down design methodology (TOP-DOWN) , the video processing system using Verilog HDL design flow , EDA tools for logic simulation and verification , and FPGA chip to verify the implementation of the program , introduces the FPGA the structures of the test environment and test . Through logic verification and system simulation , the video processing system to meet the expected functional requirements, different resolution , a different frame of the input image , can be obtained on the display corresponding to the stability and clarity of the display image .
