Abstract


Shanghai Li-Long Housing is the combination of residential building entity and city culture with typical Shanghai characteristic. On the background of the protection of historical buildings, the renew of Shanghai li-long housing was started. Mainly including four genres:Business transformation; Involvement of creative industries; Residential and commercial co-exist and Conservation. But all this genres renewal li-long from the view of material factors, ignoring the non-material factors factors, such as li-long neighborhood relationship and the Spirit of Place. Human beings are the soul of the spirit of place, rather than material factors and they are mostly related to human’s behavior and feelings. Therefore, the study on renew of li-long should be from the user’s perspective, and have a new concept of human behavior.In the specific li-long renew, it is necessary from an overall point of view of various levels of li-long housing update. From the whole to the part, according to the different li-long situations and different residential groups, this paper concretely analyses the possibility of renewing Shanghai li-long housing.
