Urban landscape ecology focuses on the research of ecological process and special structure of urban landscape, urban ecological environment and its relationship with landscapes’elements, and landscape ecological planning and designing, etc. Urban greenling system, as the main style of urban landscape, plays a very important part in maintaining and improving ecological environment. It is the core of the research on urban landscape ecology. The article, taking Jiyuan as an example, conducts a research on landscape ecology in urban greenland system combining with the theory and method of landscape ecology. The paper, using GIS techniques, sorts out five types of Greenland landscape by basing on material collection and on-the-spot investigation. The five types are park green space, production green space, protection green space, road green space, affiliating green space. Further more, the paper uses the intensity of landscape corridor, landscape diversity, dominance, evenness, fragmentation, and isolation indexes to analyze the spatial patterns of these landscape types. The study shows that landscape diversity index of green space at present in Jiyuan is 1.7689 which is lower than the maximum landscape diversity index (2.3219), landscape fragmentation degree is high which is 66.98/km2, and there are many other problems such as small area of green space, imbalance development of greening between units, little consideration on greening for road planning, lack of urban protective green space system, and few big and medium public green plots etc. Based on the study, and in accordance with the goal to be ecological city, the paper puts forward the landscape ecological pattern of urban green space in Jiyuan,firstly establish related indicators about landscape ecological pattern of green space, make landscape diversity index up to 2.2049, and proposes contents and measures of green space landscape ecological construction. It has practical instructive significance and reference value for the landscape ecological construction in our country, which is being urbanized now.
