Abstract


Software development is sophisticated which requires professional technicians,good technique and good process to get a good product.Rational Unified Process is asoftware engineering process which is use case driven,architecture-centric and usingiterative and incremental developing method.It assimilates the excellence research fruits of the Object Orient software engineering filed,applies Unified Modeling Language as the visual modeling tool,and supplies the methodological instruction for developing Object Orient software system.Based on analyzing RUP process,the thesis researches and practises the method of system analysis,design and modeling process by applying UML based on the guidance of RUP.From the experience of developing software,this thesis describes the disadvantages of former software engineering and the advantages of current software engineering.Then,the core rules of RUP and the modeling method of UML are introduced.Combining with the practical project of" Medical Insurance Network Service System",the thesis transforms RUP to concrete implementing steps which are directly used to guide the project development,and proposes a practical UML demand analysis and its modeling method based on RUP.The material work includes:workflows of the requirement,analysis,design,and implementation of the system.At the end,the requirement,the analysis,the design and the implementation models are constructed based on UML.Practice indicates that with the guide of the RUP,using UML can quickly define object-oriented software system model,can integrate the analysis and design activities orderly to reduce development cycle and increase the quality of software and enhance the transparent of management.This thesis has also explained the relation between RUP and UML which get rid of confusion in most software developer’s mind.In addition,a valuable mean on how to manage the project efficiently is put forward.It opens out an advanced software engineering pattern which is significant to build software projects rapidly and efficiently.
