Abstract


With the rapid development of urban society,the traditional planning model hashighlighted the inadaptability. Some techniques and compilation methods have no longermet the new situation of the market economy’s system,so a new social and economic modewhich was dynamic, advanced and foreseeable was needed. Grey land is a new conceptwhich was first proposed by china academy of urban planning and design in recentyears.Based on the full implementation of the scientific development concept, advocatedthe building of a harmonious society and promoting the development of the city’s rationalthinking, Urban Planning and Design Institute of China in Suzhou Industrial Park, a newround of revision of regional planning, for coordinating the development of current urbandevelopment and long-term goal of the relationship between control of resources the cityhas a potential value to enhance the operability of planning, made three types of flexiblespace, in order to achieve the flexibility of land use control.One of them is the grey landwhich was first proposed.Today, the academic community on the grey land and the planning has also been someresearch, put together some basic theory, its connotation, planning methods and operatingmechanism for a part of.Overall, these studies all have to, all look a gift horse, needsfurther summary and analysis.This article summarizes the theory of grey land and grey land’s planning,and analysis itsapplicability of practical operation, then seeks to improve the new planning model of greyland.
