Abstract


In the past 20 years , China has been actively attracting foreign investment , since joining the WTO , China to attract foreign investment into a mature stage of development . FDI channels to promote technological progress is divided into two types of direct and indirect effects technological progress : foreign direct effect of foreign-invested enterprises to improve the relative advantages of factor productivity of domestic enterprises . Foreign-funded enterprises factor productivity is directly driven by the technological advances of the host country . The indirect effects of foreign-funded enterprises on the domestic enterprise technology spillover . This study is FDI technology spillovers . This article in the review of foreign direct investment on the host country technology spillovers theory based on analysis of the situation and characteristics of FDI in China's electronic information industry , and then analyze FDI the technology spillover status quo of China's electronic information industry , elaborated technology spillover conduction mechanism. And empirical analysis of this industry , if there is a positive spillover effect of FDI over the electronic information industry technological progress . Active in the industry to absorb foreign capital and technology -intensive , the number of R \u0026 D investment represents the level of technology , so this selection the funded enterprises RD invested as a variable . The results show that the RD investment of foreign-funded enterprises on the role of the technical level of domestic enterprises is not obvious . Foreign direct investment through the RD investment in technology spillover effect is not obvious reasons : multinational companies control the core technology ; our lack of investment in research and development , technology absorption capacity is weak ; market structure is irrational ; engaged in low value - added production . Finally, this paper, the electronic information industry to absorb spills lack of technology , corresponding countermeasures and suggestions on how to better use and expansion of FDI Technology Spillover Effect .
