Abstract


With the resource exhaustion and environment deterioration around the world, the concern of sustainable design is growing day by day. Skin is an important part of buildings, and has significant impact on indoor environment and energy consumption. In China, the high-rise office buildings are increasing rapidly and have great potentiality in energy saving. In view of this situation, this paper studied on the sustainable design of building skin, in order to offer some beneficial help for the healthy development of office building.The paper first analyzed the characteristics of high-rise office building and put forward requirements for the skin sustainable design to meet the needs of natural lighting, thermal environment improvement, natural ventilation and sound insulation. Then the paper made a deeply study on the skin sustainable design from the four aspects: About the skin design methods for natural lighting improvement, the paper analyzed the influence on the natural lighting made by the window form and the glass technology, and summarized methods to make comfortable lighting; About the skin design methods for thermal environment improvement, the paper analyzed the influence on the thermal environment made by the materials of building envelope ,window-wall ratio, and sunshade; About the skin design methods for natural ventilation improvement, the paper analyzed the influence on the natural ventilation made by the window and ventilation components, and introduced natural ventilation technology for glass curtain walls; About the skin design methods for sound insulation, the paper analyzed the sound insulation property of light brick wall and window. Based on the studies above, the paper discussed integrated sustainable design of high-rise office building skin, which is optimum design after the overall consideration for benefit in all aspects.Finally, the paper introduced the case of Tianjin TEDA MSD developing zone office building design, which is one practical application of high-rise office building skin sustainable design.
