With the fast development of the cities as well as railway technology, metropolises in China have the construction of inter-city rail transportation hubs. This tremendous infrastructure has not only sped up the exchanges and contacts between cities, but also promoted urban development.This thesis focuses on the suggestion of the land developing strategy of inter-city rail transportation hubs. Through comparing the experiences of the inter-city rail transportation hubs in and abroad, studying on location theory, service—oriented development theory, joint development theory and so on, the thesis analyses the land developing strategy of inter-city rail transportation hub in Changzhou, researches on the urban development orderliness and land use laws of the area around inter-city rail transportation hub, explores regional positioning, development mode, operation and management mode, then, points out some suggestions abut the land developing strategy of inter-city rail transportation hubs. The purpose is optimizing resource allocation, improving the status of intercity rail transportation hub, solving the contradictions between urban centers and transportation hubs, and promoting the urban development and the competitiveness of the city.This thesis includes four parts. The first part introduces the background of the study. The second part studies on the theories and cases, clears the concept of inter-city rail transit and intercity rail transportation, and then tries to find out the land developing strategy which is suitable for our contry. The third part analyzes the regional background and overview of Changzhou-Nanjing Intercity Railway construction, and studies on the land development, development scale forecasting, planning and operations managementThe fourth part summaries the study result and raises prospects of further studies.Our inter-city rail transit construction has just started, a lot of transportation hubs will be built, how to formulate dvelopment strategy, policy development and management strategy become bot issues, so, this study will be an example for others.
