Abstract

Objective To investigate the programmed death ligand -1 (PD-L1) expression and its clinical significance in bladder transitional cell carcinoma (BTCC) tissue . PD-L1 expression in the the bladder mucosal tissues using immunohistochemical staining (SP) method detected 59 cases of BTCC cancer tissue in patients with and 10 patients from the edge of the tumor 2cm outside , reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) detected 30 cases of BTCC patients cancer tissues and its expression in bladder mucosal tissues outside of 10 cases from the tumor edge 2cm the PD-L1mRNA in the open four cases from patients with bladder diverticulum intraoperative specimens were taken as a negative control . The correlation analysis and the relationship between the expression levels and clinicopathological parameters . Results from the tumor margin 2cm outside the bladder mucosal tissues and negative control group showed no significant expression of PD-L1 , BTCC organization Immunohistochemical detection of PD-L1 positive expression rate of up to 62.7% ( 37/ 59 ) , RT - the PCR detection of PD-L1mRNA the positive expression rate of 66.6% ( 20 / 30 ) . PD-L1 expression and tumor TNM stage and lymph node metastasis was significantly related (P lt; 0.05), but with the patient's age , gender, and tumor pathological grading without significantly related ( P gt ; 0.05) . Conclusion PD-L1 is highly expressed in bladder transitional cell carcinoma (BTCC) tissue may play a role in tumor development process , hopes to become a new target for immunotherapy of bladder cancer .
