Abstract


The automotive industry is an important pillar industry of the national economy, the industrial chain length, associated with high, wide range of employment, consumer-driven large in the national economy and social development plays an important role in the whole national economy has a profound impact. 1983, China's auto industry began to introduce foreign direct investment, has been in 20 years. Almost all the world's leading multinational companies have been entering the country, such as Volkswagen, Nissan, Honda, GM, Ford and so on. With the entry of foreign direct investment, China's rapid growth in automobile production, from 1983 to less than 200,000 to 2009 was already more than 13 million. So whether it can be said that the entry of foreign direct investment to enhance the international competitiveness of China's automobile industry it? Embarked on this study. Fully aware of the foreign direct investment to the impact of China's automobile industry, for improving utilization of foreign investment environment, adjust the auto industry macroeconomic policies to enhance the international competitiveness of China's automobile industry has a very important practical significance. This is Porter's diamond model and the international competitiveness of industries Jin Bei causal analysis model combined, according to the characteristics of China's automobile industry, building of foreign direct investment on China's automobile industry international competitiveness evaluation system. In this paper, statistical analysis and econometric methods of industrial international competitiveness indicators for quantitative and qualitative analysis. This study showed that: foreign direct investment at the macro and raised China's automobile industry international competitiveness. But overall, foreign direct investment on the international competitiveness of China's automobile industry influence, both the positive side, there are downsides. Foreign Direct Investment on the international competitiveness of China's automobile industry has beneficial effects: (1) foreign direct investment to China's auto industry provides a lot of money, effectively compensate for the automotive industry problem of insufficient funds. (2) Foreign direct investment increased domestic demand. (3) Foreign direct investment to promote the domestic enterprise reform and competition. (4) foreign-funded enterprises to enter the industrial structure of China's automobile industry is becoming more rational. (5) Foreign direct investment into China's market structure of the great changes, help solve China's automobile industry, the problem of diseconomies of scale foreign direct investment on the international competitiveness of China's automobile industry, the adverse effects are: (1) is not conducive to China's automobile industry's core technology improves, still somewhat weakened the country's automobile industry R \u0026 D capabilities. (2) is not conducive to China's auto industry development of independent brands. (3) foreign joint ventures to China's control is too strong, the presence of our national capital risk of being marginalized.
