In this paper, using 3-D modeling software to establish the structural analysis model that was suitable simplified against the HR601 driving axle gearbox that was introduced from the United States. leading the model into the analysis software and then meshing it, calculating the strength, stiffness, modal analysis of the gearbox、the gear shaft and the gear for the typical working conditions.The shell structure stress distribution equivalent of contingency plans and maps was drawed by the analysis, and you can rapid directly observe the risk parts of the shell structure. Easy damage site was found because of the role of frequency caused by the weak links through the modal analysis. Calculating the maximum stress of the driving shaft and the biggest defferential gear by the contact analysis, and you can find the grestest bending site of the shaft by the shaft displacement map.In order to verify the preciseness of the model we did the structure stress experiment by the resistance strain measurement about the HR601 gearbox shell and introduced the experimental purposes, contents, methods and results. The accuracy of the calculation of the results was verified. Using the finite element analysis software to process the results of post-processing, calculation results was graphically displayed, so that designers can quickly and accurately understand the stress distribution and the deformation of the shell to provide a basis for improving the design. Proposed the structural dynamic analysis and optimal designing outlook for the gearbox case at the end of this paper.
