With the cause of the rapid development of China 's urban rail transit train speed continuously improve and constantly increasing traffic density , the manned mode has been difficult to meet the needs of the actual train operation . Automatic Train Operation (ATO ) is to solve the problem arising from a set of state - of - the - art computer technology , communications technology , control technology and Railway Signal \u0026 Communication technology in one of the Automatic Train Control system. ATO system to improve the efficiency of rail transportation , accelerate the speed of the train to ensure the safety of train operation , automatic train control acceleration and deceleration , the auto - run function . This paper reviews the domestic and foreign automatic train operation in the development of technologies , the train vehicle dynamics model . PID control algorithm, PID control algorithm has its advantages in many respects , but there are some limitations in terms of train operation control , and leads to fuzzy control theory and its superiority train operation control , and then design the set PID control and fuzzy control theory both advantages and a fuzzy adaptive PID controller. In this paper , based on the the Yizhuang line in Ciqu station by sea station line parameters rational design of a speed -time curve ( the VT curves) as the input to the controller design through in simulink simulation test , the fuzzy adaptive PID control for solve the ATO system of nonlinear multi-objective , changes in the operating environment is large and complex control systems have a greater advantage : consider the actual line slope change with distance and other environmental interference factors of train operation under the influence of the control , not only can better track the input VT curve , and can effectively control the train running distance error within a predetermined range in the ATO , and the train running interference uncertainties have strong anti-jamming capability . The fuzzy adaptive PID control technology is applied to the ATO system , through laboratory simulation test to verify the proposed control algorithms and design can basically achieve automatic train operation requirements , is of great significance to the ATO system practical .
