Abstract


The steel structure is the main bearing part of car body, and it is also the foundation of installing and connecting other parts in the whole car. The body structure design should not only meet the requirements of the overall layout, provide good riding environment for passengers, but also should have sufficient strength and rigidity, satisfy the relevant technical standards to ensure that the vehicle is safe and reliable in any work condition.Based on structure characteristics of the car body, by using general railway passenger vehicle as a study object, the paper introduces parametric design thought in the process of finite element modeling and analysis of the body structure, and then combines it with finite element analysis method, so we can finish the parameterization of the geometry model, the finite element model and the post-processing. Then analysis model and finite element calculation can be automatically generated. This can achieve comparison of a variety of design scheme, and improve the efficiency of the design and analysis.ANSYS are often applied to body structure calculation because of its powerful function and high universality. It has good second development function, including parametric design language which is the main tool to realize the parametric analysis of body structure.According to the vehicle strength design and test appraisal standard, the body structure is calculated and analyzed in different load conditions, and then the distribution of stress and deformation of parts are obtained. Based on relevant evaluating method and standard, the strength and stiffness of all parts of the body are checked. The analysis results show:the deformation of steel structure are coordinated, the stress distribution is reasonable, the overall strength, stiffness meet the demands, local sections appear stress concentration where the intensity is weak, low stress areas has a certain intensity reserve. Aiming at the stress concentration problem, local reinforcing method is taken, and also some design improvements are raised.Based on the results of structure analysis, car-body is optimized, and mainly design parameters of plate and shell are obtained. Then results of optimization are analyzed. They show:the strength and stiffness of the steel structure meet the requirements, and body weight reduces by 11.3%. So the lightweight of the body is achieved.By using parametric design language, and citing the railway passenger cars as an example, the paper gives a feasible method which can be used to design the structure of body in high efficiency. The research results can provide the reference to the design of railway passenger vehicle.
