Shawan Town Panyu District is a town with more than 800 years’ history in Guangzhou. She has a wealthy cultural, as Chinese history and culture of the town, Chinese folk art village, Guangdong folk art village. She is rich in intangible cultural heritage. Now , the local government had done much efforts on the protection of Shawan’ folk culture like Guangdong music, Piao Se , dragon and lion dance, Sculpture and so on. The protections includs setting up special organization, drawing up long-term-plans, and organizing activities. But there are some problems with the heritage of intangible cultural. If the problems can’t be solved in time, the heritage may be disappeared. The thesis brings forward a scheme about the protection of these traditional culture, such as draw up law and regulations to protect the heritage, the government should give supports to traditional culture and carry out research plans, cultivate successors among teen-agers in schools, develop and make use of intangible culture into tour estate, and so on.The thesis will make intangible cultural heritage of Shawan as its breakthrough point, analysis the current situation of the traditional culture such as Piao Se , dragon and lion dance, Sculpture, and try to find a right direction to protect intangible cultural heritage of Shawan.
