In recent years, along with the development of marine science, much attention has been paid to the exploration of the marine physics research. And compared with other methods, valuable information can be supplied by the marine magnetotelluric method to during the research on the medium distribution. Because of the attenuation of seawater, the electrical signal is very weak. It is necessary to develop a high sensitivity sensor firstly. In this way, the next step of signal processing will be meaningful. There are some technical problems to be solved in research and development: how to choose the electrode material; how to improve the fabrication process; how to overcome the environmental impact; how to resist the signal interference. This dissertation studies on an Ag/AgCl all-solid-state electrode to deal with the problems, contrasts physical morphology of AgCl powder made with different methods, confirms the optimal process program using the factor test method. Finally it tests the stability and the noise of the electrode. The results show that the electrode studied is characteristic of precision, stability, and enduring high pressure, and can be used to detect the weak electrical signal in the ocean.
