Abstract


The troop’s information technique changed faster and faster with each passing days. With the network structure and scales becoming more and more complicated, and application of the network being more and more diversified, The planning & design of network and research & development of network equipment are getting more difficult. As a result, a kind of scientific approach is urgent to reflect and predict the performance of the networks, and therefore the network simulation technique emerged. Especially in the last 20 years networks simulation, intelligent design and networks optimizing turn into hotspots along with the rapid development of systematic emulation technology. Using network simulation technique, we can effectively raise the dependability and accuracy of the network planning & design, reduce the network investment risks and the unnecessary waste obviously. The emulation of the network will become the indispensable link of construction and development of the network in the future.MPLS is a new technology, which uses fixed-length label to lead data switching and delivering at high speed on a kind of open communication networks. Recent years, MPLS has developed swiftly and violently by its characteristics of the high-efficiency and super times. Its value lies in its ability of introducing the connection pattern characteristic in a connectionless network, supporting various network protocols and assuring the Interconnectivity among various networks. The main advantages of MPLS lie in reducing the network complexity, making deferent networks compatible, and guaranteeing the QoS and security for customers. Moreover MPLS also supports some functions that can improve the operational efficiency of the network, such as traffic engineering and so on. Therefore, it has the greater theory significance and the application value to thoroughly analysis and research MPLS about it’s background, the work principle, the key technique, the QoS mechanism based on the MPLS TE etc.This thesis take OPNET as a tool, researched the simulation modeling technology deeply. According to the application demand in the barrack network with MPLS technology and standard model that the emulation system offered .We analysed and compared quantitatively the performance of the digital barrack network improved before and after. The thesis Emphatically analyzed the influence of QoS that MPLS technology has applied to the network, and concluded that by experimentation MPLS can adjust the dataflow effectively under the condition of network congestion, alleviate the jam to a greater extent, and thus realize network performance promotion.
