Recent years,the centrifugal compressor with small flow and high rotation speed has been widely applied in the compressor field.Domestic and overseas scholars have done many researches on this kind of centrifugal compressor,and have made some progress.In China,the research on the high rotation speed centrifugal compressor started from 1 980s,but did little on the influencing factor of the flow field in the compressor;as a result,it has limited the development of centrifugal compressor with small flow and high rotation speed in China.The structural style of impeller and diffuser in the centrifugal compressor plays the crucial role for its performance and operation.The flow in compressor is complex because inside gas flow is limited by the structure ofimpeller and diffuse as well as gas flow in the diffuser intake is influenced by the high speed gas flow in the exit of rotating impeller.So the study of influencing factors of flow mechanism in the centrifugal compressor with small flow and high rotation speed and each flow component has great significance for its rational design and structure optimization.Under this background,the main work in this paper is to analyze flow in the centrifugal compressor with small flow and high rotation speed as well as optimize structure.The software in terms of AUTOCAD,VISIO,PRO/Engineering and FLUENT is applied in this paper SO as to assist and complete the overall work.including theanalysis of centrifugal compressor,model building of impeller and diffuse,numericalcalculation,flow analysis as well as design optimization;the inspecting and verifying software FLUENT is used to inspect and verify the numerical simulation results of the single centrifugal compressor with small flow and high rotation speed.The optimum proposal in this paper has significantly improved the performance of the centrifugal compressor with small flow and high rotation speed,the polytropic efficiency increases 3%compared with the old computation model after analyzing and calculating.The main innovations in this paper include simulation analysis of single centrifugal compressor;changing the traditional form of impeller vane as well as the structure of vaneless diffuser on the basis of improving the overall efficiency.
