It is an inevitable tendency that IPv6 will substitute IPv4 as the next generation Internet protocol with rapid development of Internet and speedy exhaustion of IPv4 address.IPv6 protocol provides abundant IP address space,convenient network configuration,and excellent expansibility.Meanwhile,it is good in mobility, Quality of Service, and security.However,there are still a lot of security threats and network attacks in IPv6 network. Consequently,the research of network security in IPv6 environment is of important significance.In network security field,network attack is the best way to test network security. Detection by the method of attack, that is, by simulating hackers’attack methods, attack our own network system to find its weakness, and then improve the system.This thesis studies the security threats and network attack in the environment of IPv6 ,and introduces the design and implement of the IPv6 network attack platform.This thesis includes the following work:1. Analyzes the IPv6 protocol architecture, and the new characteristics in it. Compares the differences between the two Internet protocol versions IPv4 and IPv6.2. Analyzes and summarizes the security threats and network attacks in the IPv6 environment,including traditional security threats and the particular network attacks in the IPv6 environment.3. Designs and implements the IPv6 attack platform,including the four parts : communication protocol, attack tools database, server part and client part.4. Tests the IPv6 attack platform,and analyzes the test results.This thesis designs and implements the IPv6 attack platform.The test results indicate that this platform can carry out different kinds of IPv6 network attack,and the effect of the attack is evident. This thesis contributes to the further research of network attack and network security in IPv6 environment.
