In recent years, with the continuous development of computer science and technology, the computer is more and more widely applied in various fields of social life. Virtual reality technology is a means of people use computers to simulate real-world, virtual surgery system is an important application of virtual reality technology in modern medicine. The collision detection is one of the basic problems of virtual surgery system, it enhances the authenticity of virtual surgery system, has a crucial role to enhance the user immersion, virtual surgery system complexity and real-time but the collision detection higher requirements. Space decomposition and bounding volume hierarchy is the most widely used two techniques in the field of collision detection, they were divided on the scene space and object model, through the establishment of a hierarchical tree data structure to reduce the time complexity of the collision detection problem. Their purpose as soon as possible to exclude the basic geometric elements that obviously can not happen intersect only further testing on the remaining part of the elements, in order to improve the speed of collision detection. The virtual cardiac intervention system as application background, proposed and implemented a collision detection algorithm based on the local scene moving object intercepted. Its main idea is based on the movement of objects in the virtual scene to get around the local scene data to reduce the complexity of the problem of collision detection. Partial scene data acquisition, we have adopted a variety of simplifying the problem complexity of the processing method, and the correctness of the simplified proved. Not require algorithm information and the topology of the scene geometry, applied to the rigid body between the deformation between objects, and the rigid body and can be deformed between the object of collision detection. For the more general problem of collision detection, and space decomposition and bounding volume hierarchy technology, this paper proposes a hybrid collision detection algorithm. In the the spatial decomposition process, we propose to improve the efficiency of the algorithm based on the number of the number of node basic geometric object the element allocation strategy to reduce tree traversal and basic geometric elements to be detected. Decomposition depth of the impact on the efficiency of the algorithm through experiments on the space to do some research, results showed that the space decomposition depth is too small or too large a negative impact on the efficiency of the algorithm will be. Finally, virtual cardiac interventional surgery system in the collision detection module. The experimental results show that the the module virtual cardiac intervention can solve the problem of collision detection, and meet the requirements of real-time and accuracy of collision detection.
