T.120 protocol of the International Telecommunications Union ( ITU - T ) defines the data conferencing standard are used in practical applications are often set in the control mode . MCU (Multipoint Control Unit) , the T.120 conference system for more computer data across WAN applications meeting all the signaling and data processing are concentrated in the Conference Center . Therefore, with the increase in the participants dispersed , T.120 MCU will become the performance bottleneck of the whole system , but also the presence of the same packet cross-domain duplicate transmission , resulting in inefficient use of WAN resources . To solve the lack of the centralized control system , the subject of a preliminary T.120 distributed data conferencing system was designed and implemented . In the conference system of distributed data , the data forwarding processing function is distributed to within the MP ( MultipointProcessor ) subsystem completes the LAN control processing function , and the signaling are still processed by the the T.120 central server MCU . Extend the communication interface between the MCU and MP , the entire system can do collaborative work , and distribution to complete the signaling and data processing functions , so as to enhance the performance of the entire system . Meanwhile , since the data forwarding is dependent distributed MP system is done locally , so the cross-domain data transfer can eliminate repeated transmission redundancy , saves the network resources of the WAN . Data conferencing is often accompanied by audio / video conference at the same time , this project also studied to prevent network bandwidth T.120 applications the burst preemption , in order to ensure that the the T.120 large - capacity data transmission applications does not affect how the application layer traffic control demanding real-time audio / video transmission applications , to ensure that the entire multimedia conferencing system QoS . Finally , the subject of the the T.120 distributed data conferencing system complete functional testing and performance testing . The test results show that the T.120 distributed data conferencing system can be synergistically completion of the conference call signaling processing and local data transfer processing , and at the same time to achieve a valid transfer flow control .
