In the power system , power quality disturbances cover a wide spectrum . Higher sampling frequency so that the size of the relevant monitoring data is increasing rapidly in a short period of time with the power quality disturbances , its huge data capacity to store and transfer have brought a lot of challenges , and thus the monitoring data , real-time compression has important practical significance . On a variety of power quality events and data compression technology are discussed , and design a DSP ARM - based dual-CPU real - time power quality data compression embedded systems to achieve real-time compression of power quality data . According to the wavelet transform theory , combined with the characteristics of electric power quality detection data of selection based on the wavelet transform coefficients hard threshold value method as a DSP in the data compression of the main algorithm , in which the threshold , the sampling frequency , the decomposition of the number of layers and other parameters can be for the system default settings can also be keyboard and display platform provided by the user through the ARM custom settings to increase the flexibility and interactivity . The dual CPU embedded systems division of labor is as follows : acquisition of DSP is responsible for the voltage and current signals , the wavelet transform and the hard threshold compression processing ; ARM keyboard , LCD and Ethernet communications functions , and give full play to the DSP , high-speed data processing ability and powerful ARM peripheral management capabilities . Simplify the structure of the dual-CPU system hardware and software design and debugging , system hardware and software upgrades in the future to become more flexible . The dual-port RAM provide effective arbitration mechanism to build a friendly bridge for dual CPU data communication . RTDS powerful embedded system design simulation test , the results are satisfactory , the system speed and compression ratio , the reconstructed signal distortion indicators meet the requirements of real-time data compression . The system has a small size , low cost , user-friendly, human-computer interaction convenient , real-time data compression and good quality . Promote the use of power system for data measurement , detection , and brought great convenience , with significant social and economic benefits . Finally, both hardware and software separately proposed some measures for improving the program can be used as a reference to the next stage of the project .
