Abstract


The field of information entered into the era of 32-bit embedded microprocessors and embedded operating systems for the typical characteristics of embedded systems . The embedded operating system is the core of embedded system design , embedded system design . The current embedded operating system , is undergoing a period of general embedded operating system to the application-specific embedded operating system development . Due to open its code and network performance , embedded Linux , embedded operating system has become the research hotspot . Linux 2.6 kernel to establish a unified device model , to some extent reduce the complexity of the kernel structure , convenient management . Support new features such as power management , hot-swappable , and by Linux 2.6 device driver model , the kernel can get the information of the system as a whole . The paper first analyzes the development of embedded systems and embedded operating system , and platform specific embedded applications , embedded systems options. , And embedded Linux system advantages , and face the challenge to do a brief introduction . And analysis the kernel new device model , as well as embedded systems platform bus implementation , design -based XScale ARM core and drivers . Finally, another new feature of the new kernel architecture -ALSA ALSA driver development board .
