With the development of science and technology in a highly interconnected social , accurate and true personal identity to become an important link in the security field , there are a series of defects in the traditional method of personal identification (such as a password , PIN) , it is difficult meet the need. Personally identifiable become a hot research field identification based on the biological characteristics of the human body , iris recognition technology is the use of the the the iris texture characteristics of the human eye to determine the person 's identity , due to the stability of human iris texture , uniqueness , artificial change difficulties and characteristics , iris image identification method is a method , one of the most accurate use of the identity of the person's identity characteristics personally identifiable identifiable . The main work and results of the thesis : First, the integrated use of image processing and pattern recognition technology , for iris recognition some of the key technical and difficult to study the iris image preprocessing , iris image positioning , feature extraction and matching some algorithms , and as the basis for building an iris identification system platform . Second, the proposed extraction algorithm based on the iris image characteristics Morlet wavelet transform . First iris image according to the characteristics of the iris physiological partition different iris region issued one-dimensional and two-dimensional Morlet complex wavelet transform to extract characteristic data were used to characterize the phase information of iris image extracted and with two Bitegelei of coding ; final characteristics of iris image coding . Finally , by calculating the Hamming distance between the iris image features encoding match , and ultimately the iris image recognition . The experimental results show that , compared with the existing algorithms , the recognition speed of the algorithm is fast , the image feature extraction effect , a high recognition rate .
