Abstract


Digital TV is considered one of the emerging industries of the 21st century 's most promising , The digitized television broadcasting has brought an unprecedented level of flexibility and scalability , but also will bring consumers more information resources . The world regarded digital TV as a new economic growth point in their development planning and policy of advancing . In China , the digitization of television broadcasting has been put on the agenda. Therefore , the development of digital TV set-top box software , design as well as for the overall program of digital TV has great academic value and practical significance . Relying on the digital TV set-top box development projects to study in detail the theory of the field of digital television , as well as in the set-top box software development technology . The paper begins with an overview of the development background of the digital TV system , application status , and the research purpose and meaning ; Next paper an overview of the DVB standard series agreement framework , introduced a series of the DVB standard MPEG-2 standard ; then the paper briefly the realization of the principle of the digital TV set-top box , the system framework , as well as hardware and software structure , a detailed analysis of the structure and characteristics of the digital TV set-top boxes dedicated chip STi5518 , and described in detail the characteristics of embedded real-time operating system STLite/OS20 and typical applications . The papers completed a part of the module design and implementation of digital TV set-top box software . Finally, through the study and research of digital TV conditional access system , combined with digital TV overall solution to complete the design of a low-cost solution .
