Abstract


With the development of network technology , Web-based distance learning has become an important way and direction of development of distance education . Users access the site left in website access log information about the mining of user information in the network log , can we build an intelligent and personalized education into one network platform to provide information . Single network distance education system education mode , remote teaching site interaction means , can not be individualized distance learning system embedded in the Web log mining module , using data mining techniques to Web data mining of log files on the server can understand the behavior of user access to provide personalized service , the Web log mining is a key technology to achieve the personalized service . This paper illustrates the application method and the steps of the Web log mining in remote network education system . Intro to Web log mining technology in distance education website analysis application background, strategy as well as the system Web log mining key technologies and the mining algorithms , which in the HTML document clustering analysis phase the system uses the the domestic latest proposed CLOPE algorithm ( clustering histogram algorithm ) , to improve the traditional Apriori algorithm to mining user preferences path , found that the user's interest in access , and part of the algorithm is described . Finally , from the distance learning website design , Web log data collection , data preprocessing , the implementation of the mining algorithms, visualization processing done a detailed analysis of the implementation of the system of distance learning website based on Web log mining , design -based Web log mining for personalized online teaching architecture has been tested and meets the needs of practical application , to meet the requirements of distance learning , on-demand learning and individualized . The system can take full advantage of the Web log that has accumulated on the site , student behavior and academic records , and other information , through data mining techniques to find similar groups of learners , a Web page , users frequently access path , the frequent itemsets and association rules mode , automatic adjustment learners learning plans and progress , showing personalized learning content to create adaptive teaching website to meet the needs of all types of learners , and to improve the quality of website construction and online education .
