With the rapid development of the national economy , the transportation industry has been an unprecedented development , the rapid development of the highway led to more and more urgent requirements in real-time , efficient and easy to publish the information content of the ITS Intelligent Transportation System ( Intelligent Transportation System ) . LED CMS ( variable information board system ) as an important part of the Intelligent Transportation Systems , responsible for highway traffic information , weather information and other information on the release of tasks , thus variable intelligence board system and its associated application software practical value. In this paper, the design of variable information board applications running on high-performance ARM microprocessor , using the Linux operating system , and to choose QT graphical interface system as a platform for development tools . First, the article discusses the Linux operating system , application software development process and QT graphical interface system development points , rationally divide and discussed in detail in the analysis of the functional requirements of the system , while the various functional modules . Secondly, the data transmission protocol of the system , put forward different data transmission scheme , including Ethernet and standard serial transmission and other means of data communication . Concludes serial programming of the system software to software technology , Ethernet communication , multithreaded programming and interprocess communication . Variable information panels application software system developed in this paper has been successfully extended to the fields of application. Thesis research can provide important reference for variable information panels in the future to further improve .
