Abstract


High-resolution wide-field image or video is becoming more and more important in some areas , such as photogrammetry in the panoramic view of the structure, the realization of panoramic video surveillance system , especially to build virtual reality technology , virtual environment . Image stitching technology to solve the problem of vision and resolution of contradictions , and therefore it has become a hot issue in the field of image processing . This article first more detailed description of the status and application of the field of image stitching technology at home and abroad . Then introduces the key technology of image registration and image fusion , image stitching technology to analyze and summarize the main method , and performance , as well as the existing problems . This paper focuses on the feature point - based image registration and image stitching technology , and Harris feature points and SIFT (Scale Invariant Feature Transform) feature point matching technology to carry out in-depth research and analysis . Combined with the lack of SIFT algorithm and Harris algorithm proposed ISFIT algorithm , the algorithm first the SIFT detection algorithm to extract the SIFT feature points , and then in the neighborhood of the SIFT feature points detection Harris corner to enhance the unique nature of the feature points . At the same time , by means of SIFT features for rotation and scale invariance as well as for noise , brightness change good robustness solve the Harris feature detection sensitive issue for the scale changes , making the image registration under the large -scale changes to become possible. Improvements SIFT feature point extraction method , pre - addition to the part of the unstable nature of the point and improve the probability of matching the speed and the correct match . Experimental results show that the algorithm is invariant for rotation , scale changes , with better robustness for noise as well as changes in the brightness of the image , and the matching speed improvements before nearly doubled . The paper concludes with a discussion of cylindrical panoramic image stitching technology , and put forward a cylindrical panoramic image stitching solutions .
