With the development and popularization of multimedia technology , mobile devices , has also been a greater demand for mobile devices based text analysis , such as mobile phones , card recognition application . People more eager to extract text from natural scene analysis , such as intelligent guide system installed on the phone . Which the key point and the difficulty of the text is accurate and fast positioning. The reason is that the complex and volatile nature of the natural scene easily affect the positioning effect , and mainstream hardware resources of the mobile devices also limit some excellent positioning algorithm ( such as area , texture , edge - based method , or a combination of three types of method has the advantage of the method of integration ) transplantation. This article is in the context of no mature algorithms and applications , according to the National Natural Science Foundation of issues - the needs of the natural environment text analysis and processing of key technology research , once exploratory research and application . This article is mainly for mobile devices based on the natural scene text analysis . Solve two major problems : the first is how to get a cell phone camera to capture the image data ; second is how real-time positioning of text messages on mobile devices . For these two issues , the paper first focuses on the development of the Windows Mobile phone camera . Mobile devices operating system choice DirectShow technology of the camera on the Windows Mobile operating system development , access to the captured image data ; Second , take into account the condition of the hardware of mobile devices , focusing on select simple edge detection and strokes detected the two ways to extract the edge , and then after the subsequent processing and improved regional connectivity notation extracted text candidate regions . This paper integrated design and realization of the entire system , and experiment of 300 natural scene image detection algorithm positioning effect , indicating the feasibility and rationality of the system . The design ideas and methods of the text positioning technology research and product development has certain reference value .
